A beautiful dawn walk in France. A majestic mist stalks the fields as the sun rises this between the trees.
The class expanded their repertoire of warm up exercises in this mornings first session. This included four-finger exercises, string skipping and alternating between ascending and descending patterns. This is both a physical and mental challenge, engaging the brain in thinking about which fingers to use and when.
During the mornings second session the class learnt how to play the chords and rhythm section to BB King’s ‘The Thrill Is Gone’. The class played a staccato up-strum on beats 2 and 4 of the bar.
After a wonderful lunch the class began the afternoon session playing through the chords and rhythm parts to the ‘The Thrill Is Gone’ and learning, note for note, BB Kings famous intro solo; playing along with the backing track.
Another fantastic day! 🙂
